JAVA Developer with 3+ years experience

About the Role:

CEBS is seeking a talented Java Developer to join our team for a European client in the music industry. You’ll contribute to a suite of core applications that manage a large repertoire of musical works in the production music domain.

You’ll be working on a variety of applications, including:

  • REST APIs

  • Integration software

  • Desktop applications (occasional work on existing Java Swing components)

Most applications are built in Java, with key frameworks being Spring Boot and Hibernate. Some services run on AWS, giving you the opportunity to expand your cloud skills. This role involves continuous development, improving existing functionality, and creating new features that will directly impact music professionals around the world.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using Java.

  • Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and implement new features.

  • Enhance application performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Test, debug, and troubleshoot issues across the codebase.

  • Contribute ideas for improving software architecture and technical direction.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 5+ years of professional Java development experience.

  • Strong experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate.

  • Familiarity with REST API development.

  • Exposure to Java Swing is a plus (not a primary requirement).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • AWS experience.

  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles.

  • Interest in machine learning or working alongside data scientists.
